V8 audio card is recognised but can’t play through
Why won’t the recognised v8 throughput? iMac 27” 5K late 2015 running Monterey.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're unable to hear audio from your iMac. If so, we would like to share some helpful resources and steps that could hep you out. First, let's review the following two resources:
1.) If you can’t hear sound from your Mac speakers - Apple Support
2.) If the internal speakers on your Mac aren't working - Apple Support
Just in case, these are additional steps you can attempt:
1.) Restart Mac
2.) Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support
3.) Test in safe mode
