Is it possible to have the SAME table appear on multiple sheets in Numbers?
Short answer: yes.
In Numbers the sheets in 1 document (file) must have different names.
In each sheet the tables must have different names.
When you duplicate a sheet, numbers add "-1" to the duplicated sheetname to make the sheet name different from the original name.
When you want to reference a specific table, make sure to add the sheetname, like this: Sheetname::Tablename::A1.
This will allow for keeping the table names the same in similar sheets.

Do you mean set up a table on one sheet and have that display automatically on multiple sheets? And when you make a change to that table the changes appear automatically in other sheets too? Sort of like "transclusion" in writing apps?
If that is what you mean than that is not possible in Numbers, though you can set up tables on separate sheets and have formulas retrieve the values from the original table. You would then select a cell in the table on a separate sheet, type = and click the cell you want from the original table.
However, this is generally not efficient spreadsheet design. It is usually more efficient to keep like data together in one table.
