Suspended Amazon Account due to Unusual Activity Text Message on iPhone

Has anyone else received a text message to their iPhone saying "Unusual Activity: We've suspended your Amazon account due to unusual activity. Our system has suspended your Amazon account for security reasons."

Then they have a link to unlock their Amazon account.

It’s a clear phishing scam.

Presumably you have an Amazon account? Is it actually suspended?

If you ever get a text or an email telling you that any kind of account has been “suspended” or “locked”, don’t believe the message; verify for yourself by accessing the account in the normal way (NOT by using any link provided in the message). Bear in mind that most companies almost never tell you this information by text.

Scam, which is trying to trick you into revealing personal information.

Log on to your Amazon account normally. If there is an issue, you will know it immediately.

NEVER click the link in a message like this or call the number listed.

Delete the message. Expect more of the same. A favorite is a message from your mail provider telling you that they have received your request to terminate your account......unless.....you click or call.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

Forward the message to spoof@amazon.com

Oh, and I’ve gotten 3 today. NEVER click on a link in an email. If you want to check go to https://amazon.com and log in directly.
