Impact of embedded photos vs. attachment on recipients

I understand Apple no longer allows photos as attachments to email. When recipients receive embedded photos, are they able to open, download, save, etc. as they would with attached photos?

Yes. How we configure the attachment, i.e. embedded or as icon, is only for our Mail app. The recipient's settings will determine how it appears their mail app.

If you want uniformity then either compress the attachment or put it in a folder and add the folder to the email. The recipient should see a compressed file or a folder.
