Writing text or drawing on top of images or other notes
Is there a feature in notes to write on top of images, annotating images or text with the pencil? Could this be added it it does not exist?
Thanks
iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

iPad Pro with Pencil 2 and iPadOS 15.6 current, and using the built-in Apple Notes app:
Sequence: Tap the photo embedded in the note. It should enlarge, and should now offer some controls for sharing and editing. Tap the pen icon. Write or draw within the image, using the pencil. Tap done.
In steps…
Starting in Notes app with some text, and a screenshot image of nothing…
Finger-tap the photo once to select it, and the view in Notes app switches to offer a sharing and a photo editing control, and Done:
Finger-tap the photo-editing pen icon control in the upper right, and start writing on the image with the pencil:
Finger-tap the done control shown in the immediately-previous image, and you will now be back to the main Notes app view:
Pen taps on controls almost certainly also work here, but I’m describing exactly what sequence was used…

Thank you for the quick response. I still cannot do this on the iPad, the image moves with the stylus while I try to annotate an image. How did it work for you? Could you maybe post a video on it? This is iNotes I am writing about.
Many thanks
Tap the image in the note to select it, tap edit, start writing, select done. iPadOS 15.6.
