Prevent documents from being copied to Zip or cloud drives.

I have a situation where an individual is allowed to view documents but not download them. They are allowed to take images of the screen with a camera or phone.

I need to know how I can prevent internet access, specifically someone using their phone as a hot spot or an internet source outside the location. Prevent airdrop to a device via Bluetooth. Or copying the docs to a Zip drive via USB ports.

I’m using a MacBook Pro Retina early 2015 running Monterey. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, I’ve already ruled out stone tablets. 😜

I'm thinking if someone can suggest commands to tap into the terminal to disable the WiFi, Bluetooth and usb drives then I should be good. I’ll create a user with Sharing-Only privileges. After the task is done then I’m thinking I could use Time Machine to revert back. Let me know if this theory would work… Thanks!

I figured it out with everyone’s input… and it’s easier than I expected.

I’ll create a user with Parental Controls to restrict web access, access to apps and files. Implement the Firewall as backup. And they sell USB port locks that physically plug the ports for $15 on Amazon. Problem solved. Thank you all for your help.

So instead of answering initially with “that’s not how the macOS environment works”, you point me in a direction you totally have no clue about. After I took a look at the MDM Profile info you suggested and I told you my system isn’t on a network, you said it doesn’t need to be which is bullshit.

thanks for waisting my time Barney.

macOS offers limitation on users via the standard user, parental controls and operational scheduling. If you want to drill down as far as you indicate for control, you likely need a 3rd party app. But keep in mind, not everything is possible just because you want it, and even the most sophisticated app can do no more than what the OS allows.

The profile suggestion seems the most likely solution, but again just because you want it doesn't mean it can be done.
