iOS 15.6 update causing multiple problems

After I updated my iPhone (XS) I have been experiencing a series of annoying problems. For example, when using WhatsApp, the windows close/open automatically, while typing a message my phone dialed the number of the person I was texting etc. It happens with other applications as well. The touch screen is not sensitive sometimes, it doesn't react to my touches. The control-menu doesn't appear when moving the fingertip down from the right hand top corner of the screen - and on an on.

I have already run a virus check because I have never had these kind of problems before, with no result. I closed all windows; I switched it off completely, let it sit for 30 minutes before switching it back on. Nothing helped. Has anyone been experiencing similar issues? And been able to solve it?

Hi,

Caused my wife’s iPhone to not start up for half a day (Apple logo) then missing logo images and other issues.

Left it as it is but considered a restore to a previous backup.
