Drag and drop sound is annoying

I can't stand the sound that my MacBook Air makes when I drag and drop a document. It is beyond annoying. Is there a way to change it?

I know you can disable it, but in doing so, you will likely lose some other system sounds that you like.

But you can try this:

  1. Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences
  2. Click Sound
  3. Uncheck "Play user interface sound effects."

You cannot individually change the system sounds using macOS. However, maybe there is a 3rd party utility out there that will allow you to do it.
