"Portrait" on pictures in Photos

In Photos, the word "Portrait" is in the upper left corner. I realize that it's there to identify that it was shot in Portrait mode, How can I remove it?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.5

You can go to the view menu:


view>metadata - turn off "file type"


Bear in mind that this is only shown in the photos app. If you export the photos, share it, or print it - then it will not be there, regardless of the view menu setting.
