Ipad legitimate mail all going to junk

I have an elderly friend who uses her ipad a lot but is finding nearly all her mail is going into the junk folder, so she is missing important communications. How can I help her troubleshoot this? Where is the link to mark contacts as safe senders or messages as "not junk" ?

What you’ll need to do is go to her mail provider’s page - so if she uses yahoo, sign her into yahoo.com and then perhaps add those important senders to her contacts list. The mail app doesn’t choose where mail goes, it respects the rules the mail provider sets out (if an important mail is going into spam it’s because the provider is putting it into spam)

sometimes adding the contact helps prevent this.

another thing could be to see if her provider has their own app and have her use that.
