Hotspot

It sounds like it is on but your devices are not seeing it.

What are you connecting to it?

• Mac
• Windows PC
• Android phone or tablet
• iPad or iPhone

Please try the following. I have had this happen to me too, especially when connecting an Android or Windows PC and sometimes a Mac.

Have your device ready, with wifi settings open.

Disable then reenable the hotspot on your iPhone.

Refresh the list of wireless devices on the device that you want to connect or disable wifi, turn it back on immediately then refresh the list of available networks.

Typically, when connecting a device to my iPhone, other than an iPhone or an iPad, I need to enable the hotspot functionality immediately before trying to connect the device.

Occasionally, I have had to enable the option "maximize compatibility" in the phone's "personal hotspot" settings -- especially for an Android or Windows device.

Mason, you may also need to forget the saved wifi connection then reconnect your devices to it.

Have you recently upgraded the operating system on your phone?

Mason, has it worked previously?

If not, check with your carrier to confirm that this functionality is enabled on the back end.
