If I have a photo of a receipt in my notes if I delete it from my photos will it remove that photo from Notes?

Are photos inserted into Notes stored as a copy on the note or is the root still in the Photos app?

ex. I’m using Notes to keep track of receipts.

1. I use the camera snap an image of the receipt
2. i open up the Notes app and insert the photo and add it to the note
3. when I do this am I copying the photo to Notes? Meaning if I delete the photo from the Photos app will I be able to retrieve it on the note?
