My email password has suddenly started showing when I login to my web based email (not mail). This is insecure and I want to be asked for the password. I cannot identify why this has suddenly started nor can I see my email password in keychain access. No other account is affected.

First thing to do is clear your cookies. Go to the web mail site to initiate login and if it asks for a password don’t save it if a dialogue box pops up asking.

Thanks. Cookies yeah, sort of . Firefox had decided that it was its job to fill in passwords automatically. Unticked the box and it's ok again.
