iPhone storage filling up for no reason

my iPhone 13Pro photo storage is growing by over a Gb a day but im not taking photos. I am running iOS 15.6 which I upgraded OTA but the other day iOS reported that my iPhone was full and that my photos were taking up 159gb. when I looked photos were taking up 67gb but the phone was shown as full! I read online that instagram can cause storage problems so I deleted it and I immediately got my storage back. I have not reinstalled it but my photo storage is growing over a gb a day without me doing anything, can anybody help?

Thanks SravanKra for your reply. I don’t use iCloud for photos at all as I take very few photos so just leave them on the iPhone. Over the years I have accumulated about 67gb of photos and videos and up to now that has remained pretty constant. However this morning I looked at the photo storage and it is now 74.83 gb, indeed while I was looking at it, it increased by 1.5 gb without me going a thing!
