iPad 4th Gen erase and restore for a new user?

My wife got a new iPad and I want to use her old one (model: MD514LL/A 10.3.3) but I want to erase and restore it with my Apple ID.

She transferred everything she needed and wanted but there's hardly any space on it and apps I will never use.

iPads are new to me, as in I have never used one but it would be cool to use it for work out in the field and maybe some audio and video recording.

Where do I begin? I can't seem to locate anything on the boards.

Thanks in advance.

Be aware that the iPad4 is long-ago obsolete. Few, if any, Apps are available in the Apple App Store - all support for 32-bit devices and Apps have been dropped some years ago.

You won't be able to use the Numbers app on an iPad 4th generation. Numbers requires iPadOS 14 or higher and your iPad is not capable of running anything higher than iOS 10.3.4. Safari won't be current. The Notes App is baked into iOS, so it will likely work. Google Maps requires iOS 13.4 or higher. You're going to be very disappointed with an iPad 4th generation as most modern apps simply can't be used.

Understood. I just need it to run Safari, Google Maps, Numbers, Notes, and record audio, video and photos that I will delete after I have transferred them.

It would be cool if a later version of GarageBand works but I can work around that easily enough.

I have no intention of installing any 3rd party apps.

I just want to erase and restore it with me as the User. I am wondering now if the aforementioned Apple Apps will still function properly.

Thanks.
