I have created a pie chart to my budget, to give a visual representation of my fortnightly expenses. Chart segments are allocated expense categories eg: groceries, petrol etc. Is there any way I can add a formula to display the total of all those expenses? Maybe in the centre with the chart title?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Adapting the example in the 'Charting Basics' template at File > New in your menu you could do something like this:
The total in the middle is a one-cell table with the formula as shown.
Set the Table Outline to None.
When you click away from the table with the total the chart will look something like this:

Thank you so much for this! I can create the one cell table, outside of the pie chart, but I can't figure out how to get it inside the centre space as you did in your image. If I highlight the chart and choose insert table - options are greyed out. I tried creating it outside of the chart and copying and pasting it in the middle, but that didn't work either.
How did you get it in the centre of the chart?
I clicked the one-cell table, then the concentric circles “bull’s-eye” in its upper left corner (to select the whole table as an object)’, and dragged and dropped into the center of the chart.
