Apple Watch Location

So I last had my Apple Watch in Mexico on vacation on Feb 9, 2022. When I came back home I was looking for it’s location but it told me that it was in my home.(So I didn’t panic) I never found it but I continued to see it on the Find My app as being at my home. Fast forward to now (August) I have moved to a new home and it is showing my new address and that it’s offline (the screen is black). But randomly when I travel around the city it shows that the Watch is with me (the location changes) and it is completely dead at this point. Could my iphone be acting as my watch since I have the watch app? Is it def in my new place somewhere or could this just be a glitch?
