Monitor options with 2020 Apple Mac Mini

Hi there, can I use a PC monitor with the Apple Mac Mini? I have an ancient MacBook Air, and typically, use my PC to do graphic design. I'm looking to get the 2020 Apple Mac Mini and use the dual monitors I already have with it, is this possible? Thank you kindly for all responses.

Yes you can use dual monitors with an M1 Mac Mini.

Just be aware that the M1 Mac mini only support 1 monitor on the HDMI port and 1 monitor on a USB-C port.

see "Video Support"at > Mac mini - Technical Specifications - Apple

Then go to > Connect a display to Mac mini - Apple Support and review the type of adapter that is required to connect one of those older monitors to the USB-C port.

If you need more detailed info about connecting what you current have, then you will need to provide the make, model numbers and inputs of both monitors.

It is possible to run THREE monitors with an M1 Mac Mini. This is how my flight simulator is set up:

16 GB M1 Mac mini (494 GB storage) connected to a Dell Model 2007 FPb monitor (1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz) via USB-C to VGA and to a Westinghouse TV model LD2240 (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz) via HDMI to HDMI.  A 3rd monitor Flatron W2252TQ is connected via VGA to startech.com USB 3.0 Dual Head Graphics Adapter DVI-I to DVI-I/VGA toUSB 3 to Mac Mini.  Displaylink application was loaded and activated.

THREE monitors simultaneously work with my M1 Mac Mini as follows:

16 GB M1 Mac mini (494 GB storage) is connected to a Dell Model 2007 FPb monitor (1600 x 1200 @ 60Hz) via USB-C to VGA, and to a Westinghouse TV model LD2240 (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz) via HDMI to HDMI.  A 3rd monitor Flatron W2252TQ is connected via VGA to startech.com USB 3.0 Dual Head Graphics Adapter DVI-I to DVI-I/VGA toUSB 3 to Mac Mini.  Displaylink driver, also from Startech.com, was loaded and activated. Two monitors light up immediately, and the third one lights up in 30 - 60 seconds. My application is a flight simulator using X-Plane.
