Control Center Remote

hello, I reset my appleTV and now my remote in my control center no longer works. It keeps stating that it’s “searching”


I no longer have a physical remote as it has water damage from a year ago

If you have reset your Apple TV box, then both devices are likely not connected to the same home network yet. That prevents the software remote from sending any commands. Set up the Apple TV Remote on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


The Apple TV (4th generation or later) should be straight-forward to pair with, as described, if both devices are already on the same home network. Else you will need a differing functional remote first, to set the network to connect to.

For Apple TV (4th generation or later), your options are:


The Apple TV (3rd generation) needs a functional remote to set up the Apple TV Remote widget in Control Center.

For the Apple TV (3rd generation), your options are:
