is there a way I can stop anyone from restoring my ipad , who does not have a passcode

I want to make sure no one can restore or reset my Ipad, without the passcode, so what should I do for that

After the Unavailable time reached 8 Hours I decided to do a restore. Having done the restore nothing has changed, next I will use the forgot passcode procedure I have read about. restore my ipad I am trying to restore my ipad(can't remember passcode) and I have no updates available but it wont let me proceed on my PC without updating? any ideas

restore ipad as new I was given an ipad from my sister and she restored the ipad to factory settings. However, it requires a passcode after the restore. I've put the ipad into recovery mode and attempted to do a restore as new. I continue to get an error that a network connection was reset and the restore fails. After each restore, the ipad returns to the unknown passcode default.
