If not, you would need to purchase whatever extended waranty service plan that Walmart offers.

Getting AppleCare Through as Retailer:
Next time you get such a device form a retailer, get to the store, seeing what services they offer for this --AppleCare would be sold through the retailer, likely in the same transaction containing the device. So, I'd say do an inshore return, seeing if they'll sell you an AppleCare plan.
