iCloud storage

I have a bunch of photos which won’t upload to my iCloud because it tells me I don’t have enough iCloud storage, and whenever I go into photos it suggests rn get more iCloud storage. I tried many things to make space in my iCloud so that my photos would upload. However, I went into my iCloud and it says that I have used 2.8GB of 5G, meaning that I have plenty of iCloud storage available which I am really confused about. I have tried lots of things and I’m unsure what to do. Any suggestions?

Hello yve272,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities!

If you're seeing a message stating there isn't enough available space, this could be due to the entirety of the backup being too large for the amount of available storage with iCloud. To determine if this is what's occurring, check out the information below. You can also locate additional steps and information here: If you can't back up to iCloud - Apple Support

Check your iCloud storage and Next Backup Size in iOS or iPadOS

1. Go to Settings > [your name].

2. Tap iCloud. The amount of iCloud storage that you've used is listed at the top. Learn more

3. Tap Manage Storage.

4. Tap Backups, then tap the device you're using. Next Backup Size is listed under Last Backup and Backup Size.

It may take a few minutes for your device to calculate Next Backup Size.

If the Next Backup Size shows larger than what's available, you can upgrade your iCloud storage. For assistance with that, take a look here: Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support

We hope that helps.

Have a great day!
