System Storage Taking Up Way Too Much Space in macOS Monterey

I've encountered a problem on my brand new MacBook Pro M1 Pro, but haven't been able to find a solution. In a nutshell: When I go to "About This Mac > Storage" the System files were taking up a whopping 250+ GB of my hard drive. Here is a screen shot:

Some help would be appreciated, Apple!

Notation - If the user is using a cloning software like Carbon Copy Cloner - suggest tweaking the Safety Net Feature in this software. The final word from Apple on Managing the " Other/ System Data “ Category

Other / System Data: Contains files that don’t fall into the categories listed here. This category primarily includes files and data used by the system, such as log files, caches, VM files, and other runtime system resources. Also included are temporary files, fonts, app support files, and plug-ins. You can't manage the contents of this category. The contents are managed by macOS, and the category varies in size depending on the current state of your Mac.

As I do not use this software but a quick search on the front page of these Forums using " adobe after effect cache files " brings up a whole rafter of similar issues.

One user suggested and I quote " I figured it out - it was in my Library/Caches folder (Adobe had over 500GB in Caches). " and mentioned deleting the cache file.

Proceed with caution as again, do not use Adobe After Effect.

No doubt, like another cache files, they will be recreated as needed

Generally, for a System Wide clearing of Caches files

Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

Then restart normally

Thanks for your help! What I could find from what you sent me, was that on my users library, the cache from Adobe After Effects is using 200+GB (view image attached), it seems a lot; don't know if I can delete all this, and what would happen? or if is normal from Adobe After Effects to create this amount of cache?

Thank you for all the help you can give me.
