How can I upgrade my iphone 7 from iOS 12.1 to iOS 15? I don’t have provision for the software upgrade in my phone

Go to Settings > General > Software Update
Or, connect your phone to finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows) to upgrade.
It’s not there. There is no software update in my phone’s settings.
Would be nice if you explain better please.
