MMS won’t work after using eSim

Hey everyone, any help appreciated as this is driving me nuts!

Issue: I used an airalo eSim this summer in Europe for data. Since restoring my settings and removing the eSim upon my return to the U.S., I am unable to send photos to Android users or be on group chats with Android users. If an Android user is present, it will send everything as a 1:1 text, even if I am responding from my Macbook.

Device: iPhone 13 mini on iOS 15.6

Resolutions I have tried that did not fix the issue:

* Turning iMessage off/on again

* Tuning MMS off/on again

* Turning Group Messaging off/on again

* Reset Network Settings

* All of the above + phone restart after

Current Messages Settings:

* iMessage: on

* Send & receive: my phone number + Apple ID

* Send as SMS: on

* MMS Messaging: on

* Group Messaging: on

I'm really at a loss for what I can do to address this other than resetting my phone entirely. Any thoughts?

I found a fix! I have Verizon and finally called in this morning. They ran me through all the basic fixes suggested online and when I finally got through to T2 support, they had me go to the reset menu and select “Reset All Settings” (instead of just reset network settings.)

This is what fixed it for me, but note that while it isn’t a full phone wipe that you will have to reconfigure your wallpaper, Apple wallet, ringtones, and notification settings after. Hope it works for you!
