Computer full issue In Disk Utility, it says I have used 983gb on a 1TB hard drive and it also says 408GB is available. In About this Mac, it says 408GB is available but I can’t download anything as it says there is no space. I have purged the cache files. Even in Safe mode it takes forever to turn on and often won’t shut down. I’m running Ventura 13.6.1 on an iMac 2017. Should I defrag it? Please Help!!!!

Free up space on my iMac computer How do I clean the hard drive on my iMac computer keeps saying almost full. I don’t know what to delete and what is needed for it to run. so I’m afraid to delete anything , Is there a program I can use to clean it for me ? And what’s the name ? Because it’s… full… You need to move data to external storage and/or delete “stuff” you no longer need.
