MacBook and Apple TV not connecting

Since updating to 12.5.1 my MacBook Air M1 will no longer stream to my TV using Apple TV. However it will still connect via screen mirroring. I have tried all the suggestions found on Google:

reset Apple TV
disconnected Apple TV from power for 30 secs
rebooted computer
checked they’re on the same wifi network - they are
checked media sharing is enabled on MacBook preferences.

Additionally my iPhone 11 won’t connect to the laptop via bluetooth. It appears on the list of available devices on the laptop’s preferences screen but I continually get the message on my phone”James’s MacBook Air is not supported”.

Thanks for replying but I was referring to the Apple TV hardware not the subscription service. As I said in my post, I’ve tried resetting the hardware - this can only be done on the TV - without its solving the problem.

Have found the solution to my main problem: on the TV's Apple TV settings app switch Airplay off and then back on. Phew, what a relief. However still haven't found a solution to my iPhone not connecting the laptop via bluetooth.

Have you tried accessing Apple TV directly on your TV? That's what we do.

I'd think any TV capable of accepting AirPlay streaming has the Apple TV app available.
