what devices need immediate system update?

I have read somewhat vague news reports the sky is falling, but where is a list of the actual devices needing updates? There does not seem to be anything on Apple.com

It's always a good idea to update your systems to the latest OS. There is certainly much hyperbole out there; updates and patches are routine occurrences. Check for updates under System Preferences > General > Software Update
