i cannot update Apple ID settings

I am having difficulty updating my Apple ID on my iPhone. When I press 'continue' nothing happens.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 12

When I press 'continue' nothing happens.

Then Enter your Apple ID password, then follow the on-screen instructions.
