I just purchased an ASUS axe16000 which my Android devices, a Samsung s22 and s8 Tablet can connect to it, on the 6Ghz band. But my IPad can’t connect to it. All 4 bands are separated. If my androids devices can connect to it, I don’t see why my IPad 12.9 couldn’t.
Can Apple do something about it? Maybe update the drivers on their next firmware release.

Check the power setting on the Wi-Fi router, and (if more is an option) see if increasing the power helps.
Also see if there’s a firmware update for the Wi-Fi router, and apply the latest.
I’ve noticed Apple gear is slower to connect to WPA2/WPA3 transitional than to WPA2 AES, too.
We are all just Apple product users here.
