Issue with battery icon

My battery icon keeps showing the little icon of being connected to a cable, but it's not charging and it's neither connected to a cable. I've removed and plugged the charger back in several times, and I've turned my computer on and off, but nothing has helped. I've also tried fumbling a bit with the settings of the battery. My computer just keeps losing power and won't charge.

Does anybody know what could be wrong? I'm using an original mac charger.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.1
