CarPlay not working after 15.6.1 update

I upgraded to 15.6.1 2 days ago on my 12 Pro Max and not CarPlay both wired and wireless will not work. Over tried power cycling the phone, Reset All Setting and nothing. I’ve tried connecting to 3 different cars that it worked previously and none connect now. I get a connection error.

what’s weird is if I forget cars and go through setup again it sees the cars and sets up but when it tries to connect to phone it fails.

bluetooth is the only way I can currently connect and listed to music on phone.

If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, tap Allowed Apps and make sure that CarPlay is enabled. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
