Suddenly today my inbox emails for the last 12 months were removed from the inbox. No apparent reason,

Let's check the Trash mailbox to see if these emails are located there: Delete and recover emails in Mail on iPhone - Apple Support
Recover a deleted email
1. Tapin the upper-left corner, then tap an account’s Trash mailbox.
2. Tap the email you want to recover, then tap.
3. Tap Move Message, then choose another mailbox.
