Okay so this has been frustrating me to no end.


  1. my phone won’t take my credit card information even though there is money and it’s valid.
  2. Why do I need my payment information to redownload an app. It doesn’t do it getting new ones but if I want to download it from the cloud it won’t let me. What do I do?? Is there a setting causing this?? Because usually it takes Face ID and it works but now it’s asking for a password.
  3. if I enter my passcode because I forgot the apple ID password it says my passcode is wrong which it can’t be because i use it to unlock my phone and it works. So now i’m just confused.

Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details.

On the Sidebar click Payment methods -> then tap Payments Methods and tap Manage payment method.

If you can't make purchases or update apps, including free apps, you need to update your payment method or add a new one

That's certainly strange, I don't know either.
