Best Camera Settings on iphone 12 pro max

My phone has taken terrible pictures since I got it. They are always dark, the colors are way off and I can't use them for so many things because of the "poor quality" they are.

Does anyone have good camera settings that work with this phone??

I have now read a ton of reviews that's this is one of apples worse camera phones they've made

and their not doing anything about it. I hope this isn't true.
