I have photos on my extended 500GB hard drive. I originally downloaded them then erased my MacBook to factory settings. Now I want to transfer the photos back onto my MacBook Pro. It will not let me select the file. I see it but I can not select it highlight it and drag the file. These photos are very valuable to me as they are of my family and new born. Please help!!
What exactly is on the external drive? Folders of Photographs? The Photos Library?

It’s gray it’s there but I can not select it nor can I drag it. It’s my photo Library
Can you grab and drag anything else off the disk?
I only have a photos on the device.
How about putting something else on the drive and experimenting?
