Spotlight doesn't work.

I cannot get Spotlight to index the internal drive on my MB Pro 2020 refurbished by Apple using Monterey. I don't know how to use Terminal, did not buy a Mac so I could learn to play with it, and need this desperately to do work.

Apple doesn't seem to have my computer listed correctly.

I'm setting up a new MacBook Pro-14 and have found that I can't search in the Library folder I'm setting up a new MBPro-14 and have found that I can't search in the Library folder. Presumably it's not being indexed by Spotlight. I've tried using Finder search (Cmd-F) instead of Spotlight bar and adding "System files" and "File visibility" but it didn't help. I've never had this problem before (a loooooong time). Is there a new checkbox somewhere? Any suggestions? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Google Drive indexing and Spotlight search in Big Sur Hi there, That Spotlight isn't indexing the files on Google Drive in Monterey is a well know problem, and therefore I sticked to Big Sur, with which it was working. It looks, however, that it stopped working under Big Sur, too, since couple of days. Anyone can confirm? Has a final solution been found eventually?
