Regarding AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent filling up system log
MacBook Pro M1 max running 12.5.1
HI, What I've discovered it that AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent service is related to (in my case) my iPhone. The service starts the first time a phone is connected and then runs looking for a connection. it can be stopped with
pkill SIGSTOP AMPDeviceDiscoveryAgent
However, if at that point you plug you phone in, finder won't see it. Quitting and relaunching Finder will restart the process or use
launchctl start com.apple.AMPDevicesAgent to start it up again.
Perhaps the way it logs will change with Ventura
in the meantime I just stop it with the pkill command so it doesn't unnecessarily fill the system log.
On my MacMini (intel) 12.5.0 it works as one would expect.. The process launches when the phone is connected and stops when the phone is disconnected
