mouse wheel direction

After the last update, my mb air went mad. I'm using to have "normal" direction in my trackpad and different on the mouse wheel. Let's check: if I swipe fingers toward the screen, the page scrolls down. And if I scroll the mouse wheel toward me, the page scrolls down. Deal? Ok. So after update my mouse working like trackpad. If I need to scroll down by mouse - I need scroll wheel from me. "It's easy!" you probably say. "Go to settings, mouse and remove checkbox". Ha-ha! I already tried this! Do you know what happens after? The trackpad ALSO loses this checkbox and started working in an ABNORMAL direction! But mouse working correct. If I go to settings - trackpad and place checkbox "Normal direction" back - trackpad strarteg work normally and mouse started worked abnormally. :((((( This settings now like interdependent and how to cure it?

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
