Stereo HomePod Mini not working properly with Apple TV 4K.

I recently bought an Apple TV 4K and have been trying to get them to work with my two HomePod Mini's to no avail. Right now, despite saying they're in stereo pair I can only hear sound out of one of them. On top of that, the sound itself jitters, the best way to describe it is as though all sounds drops for just a split second repeatedly, only for it to work regularly, then repeating.


They're all connected to the same wifi (school wifi at that), and I've tried restarting, resetting, removing iCloud from ATV, etc.


I've no idea what to do.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Are both HomePods assigned to the same room? Both HomePod minis need to be assigned to the same room in order to work as a studio pair.


In the Home app,


  1. "On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, press and hold the accessory. On Mac, double-click the accessory.
  2. Scroll down and tap or click Room.
  3. Choose a room, then tap or click Close  to save."



Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app - Apple Support
