Clean MacBook Air's Thunderbolt Port (USB-C) MacBook Air M1

Do you know how to clean the Thunderbolt port or USB-C port of a MacBook Air with Apple M1 chip? It's the one I usually use with the power charger (the one located on the upper left). My MacBook was in my backpack for a while, and it got clogged with dust or something like that.

I doubt there is enough room to manipulate these items. Plus you don't want them breaking off inside the port as it may be extremely difficult to remove any broken remnants. A flat toothpick may work, but be very careful it does not break inside the port.
