Fuzzy custom folder icons

Is there a specific reason why some folder icons get all fuzzy, even though the icon is the exact same copy on all of them? Notice how the second one is sharp and clean, while the others have this fuzzy border

I don't see anything fuzzy about them. What I do see is a lighter ring around each one except the second one, that is incomplete.

Usually such icons are animated on the ring to indicate a progress of an event happening to those folders. These are not common Finder icons from the Mac OS operating system. Or if they are, and they are in dark mode, they might be specific to an application. I would use the Accessibility features of Apple menu -> System Preferences to view these magnified to ensure you are seeing them as they really are. A screen resolution too high may not be sharp, and you might need a lower resolution. Color blindness can make pixel color mixing look fuzzy to people who have it.
