You won't get the best results when testing the drive you have booted from since macOS and your apps are constantly running and access the drive under test. Write speeds will almost always be slower than read speeds due to how SSDs work. It is not unusual to see write speeds of the boot drive to be about half of the read speeds.

SSD speeds are also affected by the amount of free space on the drive especially for writes. Plus SSDs have a write cache to help improve write speeds, so when the write cache is filled the write speed of the SSD will be much slower.

The speeds shown are normal. Even if they are slower than expected, the speed is still more than fast enough that it won't really affect the performance of the computer for most workloads. Unless you are having a specific problem you are trying to resolve while using the computer, you really should not worry about benchmarks.

However, If you have installed software that wastes computer resources on a regular basis, such as third-party Virus Scanners, speeder-uppers, Cleaner-uppers/Removers, Optimizers, third-party file Sync-ers such as DropBox, OneDrive, or GoogleDrive, or a VPN that you installed yourself, it will do busywork at previously-impossible speeds — heating up at a ferocious rate. This older junky software used to run as fast as it could, then would then have to wait for the disk drive to continue to waste resources. With a really fast drive like yours, that drive-speed restriction is gone.

My 2016 MBP runs in the 1600 MB/s write/2000 MB/s read speeds.
