I can't find the TextEdit app for Monterey, 12.4. I've used it for years on my other operating systems. Monterey offers NotePad which I think is inferior to TextEdit.
Can anyone shed light on this or am I just not looking in the right place for TextEdit for Monterey?

Thanks but when I do a search in the App Store, it offers up NotePad but not TextEdit. I'm trying to find out why TextEdit isn't there anymore or how to get it.
That's the app, all right, but I can't find it anywhere to download.
