automatically copy new messages to local folder

I have an IMAP mail connection in Apple mail and would like to copy any new message automatically a local Mac mail folder. I checked the rules and do not see anything that can perform such task. Anyone knows how to achieve this?

Moving gmail messages in Mail to On My Mac folder naming problem I am using Mail on the current version of Monterey to get my Gmail messages. I when I move them into the folder in the ON MY Mac section, all the messages show my name as the sender on the list. When I click on each message, they open with the correct information and the correct sender. I can search for a message and it shows up in the search results but the search result shows my name as the sender. I have to click on each result to see who the original sender was. I am not forwarding these messages, I am either copying or moving them. I just want to have a offline archive of my selected messages. Has anyone found a simple way to achieve this? I think what I described above is a bug in Mail at least in Monterey.

Mail won't download "Sent" folder Hello, I have a client that used an email account set up as IMAP, but he wanted to have all his messages downloaded to his Macbook to free up some server space (he says he have his own backup), so i tried to set up the same email account as POP, but now the "Sent" folder won't download anything sent before the POP configuration. I've checked the webmail interface and all the previous sent messages are there, but they just won't download to the Mail app. I also tried to set up the same account as IMAP to manually move the "Sent" messages, but it doesn't allow me to do that, because the account is already set up. My question is: how can i download previous messages to Mail? And is it possible to have the same account set up as POP and IMAP? (i'm aware of the issues that may cause, so it would be my last resource)

Need to backup IMAP accounts emails and folders in Mail and restore them Hi, I am working with different IMAP email accounts using the Mail mac client. Because I cannot send or recieve emails anymore, I am about to change the DNS. That's OK, but I am concernet about after that I will lose all the received emails. I started to figure out how to backup the entire IMAP accounts with emails and folders, and restore them after the DNS update. Currently I have made two different backups: one with Time Machine and a second with Mail Backup X app. My main question is: Am I sure that I could restore alle the messages and folders like before? If I will import them from Time Machine, would it create a folder on my Mail on "on my mac" section where to manually restore emails? Thank you in advice.
