I'm using a 2020 Mac Mini, Monterey, M1 Chip. I like the idea of keeping the Mac clean so I tried "Clean My Mac" --- not a good experience (understatement).
Can someone point to me to a good source (article?) about Mac "housekeeping"? For example, is it safe and helpful to periodically delete all the files in /Library/Caches/ ?
Any advice appreciated.

It's amazing how much the technology has moved forward! I tell myself that constantly learning new things about it helps keep my brain young (er). Or I just like buying new toys.
I very much enjoy and are excited about "technological" develoment (it's an area that provides more than enough mental stimulation). Sadly, I'm not as optimistic about species ability to manage it.
If you'll excuse a less than brilliant pun, I agree with your comment --- and it is very trying.
