migrating separate iCloud storage to a shared family storage

My wife and I each have our own iCloud storage. If I share my storage with her and she accepts, will the data that she had in her storage be transferred to the shared family storage?

Absolutely nothing happens. There is no change to any user account when sharing. Nothing to migrate. Nothing to sync. It’s always a good idea to have a backup of files but changing to family sharing requires nothing.

Thank you for your reply muguy. It doesn't quite answer my question.

I'm concerned about all the files that she currently has stored under her private iCloud storage plan. If she chooses to start using our shared family storage, what happens to those files? Are they automatically migrated to the shared storage space? Or will she have to resync all the data on her MacBook and phone to the new shared storage before discontinuing her current private iCloud storage plan?
