Problems viewing content in MAC Mail after upgrade Monterey12.5.1

I am receiving emails fine but many dont show the content such as buttons and notifications for appointment to confirm. In one case, it was a newsletter I subscribe to. If I log into email directly on icloud, I can view it just fine. I have 5 years of email folders that are how I organize important business. Apple suggests to rebuild MACmail. I cannot do that or I risk losing all my old emails folders created. I am on an older IMAC and cant really upgrade much further. I jumped from Catalina with the security alert a few weeks ago. I am regretting it. Lots of bugs. bluetooth mouse will not connect...

Hi ManetteGirl,

Re: Problems viewing content in MAC Mail

Seems your should have a small button "Load Remote Content"

at top right of any eMail containing but not showing such info. / content.

Pressing the "button" loads the content.

This gives us control over what anyone may put in our inbox.

If you feel the security risk is worth the small inconvenience, the setting can be changed:

ie You can go to Mail > Preferences > Privacy > and uncheck "Block all Remote Content"

Thank you for your replies, and added info. on your experience and difficulties.

Surprised you aren't able to load that "remote-content" smoothly.

It was quite an issue earlier on, but seemed to have been resolved in the recent Monterey updates.

But then, am currently using a MacBook Pro ... so perhaps the Mac model differences between us are a factor .

brbo,

thanks for the tips however since updating, it doesnt give me the load remote content button. I did go into mail preferences privacy settings and change them but........that didn't work either.

I will work on exporting the mailboxes as Ill likely have to rebuild.

As for the bluetooth mouse...its fully charged and on. Interestingly the bluetooth icon on upper right of desktop has a slash thru it leading one to believe bluetooth not on. It auto defaults to off position when I restart, but does not change anything when I turn it on. The bluetooth keyboard works though? In preferences, when you try and open the bluetooth and the mouse settings you get a "Preferences Error"...could not load bluetooth (or mouse) preference pane. Ive spent hours on phone with apple support and cant get past this.

Ill check the links you gave me but I have done several rounds of searching on this issue and tried many things. At least I can use a plug in mouse but the email thing is a problem.
