Logic Pro Songs Disappear from Apple Music

Extremely frustrating. I bounce songs from logic pro to apple music. They are always initially there, then about 60% to 70% of the time they just disappear from the apple music playlist I saved them to. I can re-add them back by going to file/import from apple music and searching for the song. Sometimes I have to do this multiple times before it stops disappearing from the playlist. To clarify, I do not subscribe to apple music, and I am not having issues syncing between devices. This is only an issue of songs created in logic pro bounced to apple music on the same mac randomly disappearing. I am currently on big sur but this was also happening on the previous version. I am dealing with this multiple times day. Any advice to resolve would be appreciated.

Hello lk404,

We can provide some guidance. Instead of importing from Apple Music, you'll want to follow these steps to share songs from Logic Pro to Apple Music:

Share a song to the Music app:
1. In Logic Pro, choose File > Share > Song to Music.
2. In the Share to Music dialog, do the following:
- If you want to rename the shared file, select the name in the Title field, then enter a new name.
- Enter information for the shared file in the Artist, Composer, Album, and Playlist fields.
Tip: You can also add these tags in My Info preferences.
- Choose the quality level for the shared file from the Quality pop-up menu.
- Select the checkbox if you want to export only the part of the song within the cycle area (if active), or the part defined by selected regions (if selected). If the checkbox is unselected, or there is no active cycle area or selected regions, the entire project length is exported.
3. Click Share.

Take care.

Thanks for the response. The issue I have with your option is the songs automatically play when the import to music is complete. I don't want that. I do not see an option to disable that auto-play. It also seems like a workaround for my initial post. In logic pro when selecting file/bounce/project or section, there is an option there to add it to apple music. That always works. I've used it for years. It always adds the song/project to music in a logic playlist and does not auto-play. The issue is they sometimes randomly disappear from music. I just finally got so frustrated the other day that I made the post above. I have only used your recommended option a couple of times so I don't know if I will have the same issue with the songs disappearing but will watch and re-post here if there is a problem. But not sure how annoying the auto-play will be so not sure which option I will end up using long-term.
