Apple Configurator has put an activation lock on iPad with random Apple ID.

How did that happen? It was owned by us, and we do not know the ID. We are the original owners. ipad 11inch

Hi there it_support8,

We're happy to provide some guidance. Activation Lock isn't a feature that's enabled automatically. You'll need to enter the original Apple ID and password that were used to set up the iPad to turn off Activation Lock.

Remove Activation Lock on the device
Follow the onscreen steps to enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up your device or your device passcode.
Learn how to find your Apple ID or reset your Apple ID password.

Remove Activation Lock on the web if a device is offline
1. Go to www.iCloud.com/find.
2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
3. At the top, click All Devices.
4. Select the device that you want to remove from iCloud.
5. Click Remove from Account.

You'll find those steps here: How to remove Activation Lock - Apple Support

If you have your original purchase receipt, you can try submitting a request to remove Activation Lock using this link: Request additional support for unlocking your device

Take care.
